Frank Heller

I am Frank Heller, mid-fifties, living in Berlin/Germany. I am a non-professional travel and event photographer. Since my childhood I have been taking photos. I spend a lot of time with photography.

Most of the photos are taken while travelling. In addition to my work as senior consultant in a public relations agency, I find time to deal with special photo projects.

After 20 years of analogue photography I switched to the digital side at the turn of the millennium. After experimenting with various digital tools, the Minolta Dynax 7D was my first serious digital camera. Since I had some good lenses for these, I later switched to Sony. At the moment I am photographing with Sony Alpha 77 bodies and Tamron lenses.

I edit all my photos afterwards. For this I mainly use Lightroom from Adobe and Luminar from Skylum. In my experience, the photo recorded by the camera rarely reflects exactly what I felt at the moment I took it. The aim of my postproduction is to extract this original mood of the shooting from the raw file.
