Abandoned and forgotten places have a special charm for me. And yet I don’t like them for their own sake, but am interested in how their original purpose or the reason for their neglect is visually expressed. I look for the aesthetic in decay, not primarily the ugly, the dirty. I also confess that I am not an adventurer, but that when I visit such places I largely stick to law and order and the rules of the community. There are certainly many Lost Places to discover, but in my opinion only relatively few tell a good story and are really visually attractive. Not to mention that there are probably hardly any unknown locations left.
