Landscape photography is a branch that has always interested me. Even as a child, our mother introduced me to the basic rules of picture composition – initially in painting. I later built on this knowledge and endeavoured to incorporate it into my photos of interesting landscapes. One question that has recently been on my mind during a trip to Switzerland is whether pleasing, beautiful natural landscapes can be kitsch. There must be an aesthetic boundary somewhere.
