Zambia/Zimbabwe

In 2017, I was travelling by car in southern Africa. On this trip I also came to Zambia, where I naturally wanted to see the Victoria Falls. Just below the Falls a bridge crosses the Zambezi River which is built over the Second Gorge of the falls. As the river forms the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, the bridge links the two countries and has border posts on the approaches to both ends, at the towns of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, and Livingstone, Zambia. One of the decadent pleasures is the very short ride on an old luxury train. It runs from Livingstone to the middle of the bridge in the evening, where you can dine in style at sunset before heading back.
