African masks

This image is difficult to explain. As a teenager, I was gripped by a fascination for Africa. Even though I now mainly deal with political and economic issues surrounding Africa, my interest in Africa’s history, its traditions and ethnic groups has never left me.

This image reflects my early, youthful fascination. It still exists alongside the modern image dominated by the hopes and problems of Africa.
